Albany Days & readi program
Albany Days is a unique, annual opportunity organized by NYSBDC for bleeding disorder community members across New York State to advocate for issues important to the bleeding disorder and chronic care communities.
Participants have the opportunity to meet face-to-face with lawmakers and staff who shape the state’s healthcare policy, become more informed on critical issues that affect access to quality care and learn effective, grassroots advocacy techniques. Prior to their legislative meetings, attendees receive advocacy training to become more familiar when speaking about public health issues. Throughout the event, attendees learn more about the legislative process and meet other community members navigating through the same health care issues.
